Consumer Electronics : These are the electronic equipment that we use in our households such as the television, phones, computers etc. Most of these consumer electronics products are really useful when they’re in working condition. If they are broken, replaced or obsolete, they turn menace to the society. These consumer electronics contain mercury, PCB and many other harmful substances which need to be disposed of completely. Most of the consumer electrical products such as refrigerators, air conditioners and television contain refrigerants, coolants, mercury which increases the greenhouse gases, leading to the depletion of the ozone layer. The ozone layer protects our earth from the effect of harmful UV rays which can cause skin cancer.
